Keep your kids motivated to read this summer with free reading programs! I have one avid reader who will sit down with a book anytime. My other two will read but it’s not their favorite thing. Here are a few programs you can sign up for to keep them excited for reading:
Check your local library! The photo above is what our library handed out. They can also track their reading through an app to win prizes from the library. We do this every summer, the kids love it.
Pizza Hut’s Bookit Program - I mean, who doesn’t love pizza as an incentive?
Scholastic’s Summer Reading Program - If you have a younger child they will like this because it has games and activities with the characters they read about in their books at school.
Half Priced Books and Barnes & Noble also have programs, but I know book stores are getting harder to find.
If you have a favorite summer reading program that I didn’t list, let me know about it in the comments. Happy reading!
